School is over until August! It is amazing! I still feel like I should be doing homework and stressing out, but everything is cool. Well I do have to read two books, do a huge project for each, and 84 math problems, but still, I am very happy.
Also, today I got a job as a hostess at Applebee's! I am so excited! It is going to be a great place to work.
There are some negative things going on too. This weekend is our dance recital and this year there are our shows, so we will be at Louisburg High School for three days. This means that I have to miss my friend's big end of the year party tonight, and Katie's going away party on Saturday! That's right! She is moving to Virginia in two days, and I won't even get to have a decent goodbye! I am sooooo sad that she is moving! I will miss her so much!!
Still, life is pretty good right now!

Please don't go
I just finished writing a note to my best friend in her yearbook. This is something I have done every year, but this time it is different. On June 3 she is moving to Virginia. This time the note was much longer and as soon as I finished and signed my name, I started bawling. Before that moment it had never registered in my mind that she is leaving. Suddenly it hit and I couldn't control myself. I can't imagine what it will be like to say goodbye. That day will be one of the hardest days of my life.
We have been best friends for the past five years, and now she is leaving and I will probably only see her a couple more times in my entire life! I can't imagine what it is going to be like next year. She won't be in my Spanish class, like she has been for the last three years, she won't be there for all of the senior things, she won't be there for my birthday, the list goes on and on. I just wish she didn't have to leave. I am not ready to say goodbye.

Lockdown
Today was a very scary day!
Yesterday, a threat was found in a stall in a boy's bathroom at my school that said: "I am going to kill myself and take people down with me." And it gave Friday as the date. This morning the principal made an announcement about it saying that it was not credible. Then, while I was at lunch, a bunch of staff members came in, told us to drop our food and go to the auditorium. A few minutes later, the principal made an announcement that we were in a Code Red Lockdown. A while later, someone's mom (who works at the school) texted her and told her that the reason for the lockdown was that they found two more notes. One said "good luck" and the other said "the shooting starts at 12:00." We were locked down for three hours without any updates. Everyone was very scared, especially since the principal did not give us any information. For three hours we had nothing to do but sit and talk. My friends and I said a prayer that everything would be okay. There were SWAT teams, police officers and security guards everywhere. After looking at the security tapes, the police took out all of the boys who had gone into the bathroom that day, questioned them and went through their stuff. When we finally got out, at about 2:30, 75% of the school had not eaten lunch. No one had bathrooms except us in the auditorium. Police officers lined the hallways, and outside 159th street was full of cars of parents. You could barely drive down it. We were never told whether or not the person was found or anything. All after-school activities were cancelled, but there will be school tomorrow; however, many people refuse to go. It was all very scary!
