So Sad

This morning I got some bad news. My best friend Katie and her family sold their house last night, after only three days on the market. They have to be out of their house by May 31! Then they are off to Virginia. I can't believe she is going to be gone for our senior year! It will be so sad. She did say that she will be back next year for prom and graduation. She already has three trips planned. Still, it is going to be sad. I am sure I will cry a lot the day she leaves. We have been best friends for over five years. I can't believe she is moving so far away!

What's Goin On

Last weekend, I had to go to the solo/ensemble choir contest and our first dance competition. I had two ensembles at contest and both of them got 1s (the highest possible rating), so now we are going to state contest in Emporia on the 28th. I had three dances that competed at the competition and they all got top 1st (almost the highest). We could have done a lot better than we did, but a lot of people made stupid mistakes. Our next competition is on the 28th also. That is the competition that we will go to nationals with in June. Hopefully we will perform better at this one. Also, yesterday we had the large group choir contest. I don't know how we did yet, but I have a feeling that we got a 1.

Tomorrow is Community Service Day for juniors and seniors at my school. We get out of school all day and work at different locations. I will be at the Lakeside Nature Center in Missouri, which means that I get to work outside. Maybe I will even get a little tan! Anyway, I am excited about it, especially since I won't be at school.

Too Much To Do!

I have been meaning to write for awhile, but I just have not had the time! Lately it seems like I can never do everything I need to unless I cut sleep out of my life. This is what I am talking about: Every day this week I had to stay late after school for all of my activities, as well as go to school early two days. This weekend, I have a dance competition AND a choir contest, so I have absolutely no time to do my homework, which includes writing an essay. Then, today while I was pondering the stress of the weekend to come, I realized that this is not going to stop for a couple more months! Between now and June, I have three dance competitions, two choir contests, the choir Spring Show, a couple Pointe performances, two AP tests (which I have not even started studying for), finals, the SAT AND the ACT! On top of it all, I have to also balance homework, dance, school activities, and find a job! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! I don't know if I will ever make it to summer vacation! Another downside is that next year wil not be any less stressful. In fact, it could be worse! Next year I will have even harder classes, even more activities, and college applications. (I was also planning on keeping a job during school) Also, for some reason, I chose to run for vice president of the National Spanish Honor Society, and I have been considering running for secretary for the National Honor Society! If I was elected, I would have even more to handle next year! Sorry to go on and on about everything I have to do, but it is a little overwhelming right now. All of this stress is wearing me out.

After Prom

Last night was prom night, however, I did not go to prom, but I did go to after prom from midnight to 4 a.m. It was so much fun! They had everything you could think of: moon bounce, inflatable obstacle course, black jack, poker, a majician, guitar hero, dance dance revolution, a wii, robeks smoothies, sheradin's ice cream, candy, and lots and lots of prizes! My friends and I played black jack most of the night, and we picked a very nice dealer. At the begining of the night, everyone was given a little fake money to start off, and you had to make more throught the night. At the end you cashed in at the bank, and for every $1,000 you got a ticket to enter raffles for prizes. Well, our dealer basically let us win every hand. When we asked for a hit, she asked if we wanted a small, medium, or big hit. Then, she looked through the cards, and pretty much gave you what you wanted, so we bet about $3,000 every hand because we never lost. At the end, I had $52,000 or 52 tickets, but I still didn't win anything! The night was still a lot of fun though, and when I got home, I slep till 11:00!
